I can't recommend Jessica enough as a college counselor. She helped our daughter navigate what has become (at least compared to what I experienced years ago) a very complex process. She is thoughtful, strategic, responsive, and extremely knowledgeable. It can be a stressful experience, both for parents and students, and she has helped us remain focused and calm. If you are looking for a college coach who will help your family through this process (and occasionally even enjoy it!), I highly recommend Jessica. I had the privilege of working with Jess when she covered a medical leave for a colleague in our office (College & Career Center). Jess stepped into our office at a VERY busy and stressful time- the start of the school year AND working with seniors-many of whom apply early action/early decision. I was quite nervous when I found out we had a sub starting- feeling overwhelmed at the thought of onboarding someone quickly, training them, answering questions etc. It was the most amazing surprise/gift to have that person be Jess- she jumped right in and within 30 minutes of being in the building, she began meeting with students. She is incredibly knowledgeable and confident, and did an amazing job meeting every student where they were at and with enthusiasm. Within days, I found myself going to Jess for professional opinions on student's applications and bouncing different ideas off of her. Working with Jess was a pleasure and I'm sure students felt the same way!
